A delegation led by the Minister, economic Counselor of the President of the Republic, went in July in Côte d’Ivoire, the country that organized the two previous editions of the International Conference on the Emergence of Africa (CIEA) to prepare the third edition planned for Dakar in 2019.
Several working sessions were held at the Prime minister’s Office, the Ministry of Planning and Development, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the African Development Bank (ADB) and the General Confederation of Companies of Côte d’Ivoire.
The aim was to hold experience-sharing meetings with the Ivorian authorities and other stakeholders of CIEA. The achievements of the 2015 and 2017 editions were highlighted and prospects emerged for the good organization of the Dakar edition scheduled for 17-19 January 2019 at the Abdou DIOUF International Conference Center (CICAD).
As a reminder, the CIEA 2019 will be held around the theme: "Emergence, Private Sector and Inclusiveness". The objective of this international meeting is to share good practices in order to allow the Private Sector to fully play its role as a driver of wealth and job creation.
